Thanksgiving

I'm so ready for all the delicious food!  It's so funny this year being pregnant and I guess being an adult, how food doesn't magically cook itself or show up on the table.  We are contributing to the festivities this year with stuffing and hopefully homemade rolls.   Last years' experience with the rolls not rising was traumatizing for me but i guess that's what makes us better.  Learning from our mistakes but mostly practicing in secret every Sunday until you feel like they turn out ok.

This year, I'm grateful that we are healthy and together.  We've had such an eventful year and health issues for E and body changes for me with baby.  I just can't imagine an easier pregnancy for which I am so so thankful and blessed.  E on the other hand, has had a very rough go.   With his continual kidney stones and "usual" stomach issues, I am also so very grateful it has not been worse.  Would I hope it would be easier next year - especially during the Bar and our baby's arrival?- absolutely, Yes! E is my daily example of what a non complaining person would look like.  Sure he has lots to gripe about, but he never does.

NOTE TO SELF:
If you're making stuffing next year, BUY THE SAGE first and buy it early! Also have a few back up plans for where you can buy cracked wheat bread.
Alternatively, just volunteer for the desserts - everyone loves the person who brings pie.

happy thanksgiving!
